In her spare time, Dr. Bowie enjoys spending time with her family, painting, and coaching youth sports or participating in activities herself.
Dr. Hazelton
Dr. Ashley R. Hazelton has been a treating chiropractor in San Antonio, Texas for 9 years. Her compassion for helping others and her love for exercise began at an early age. She attended Schreiner University where she played soccer and obtained her bachelor’s degree in Biology, before attending Parker University and receiving a bachelors in Anatomy, Health and Wellness and doctorate in Chiropractic. She enjoys yoga, running, hiking and spending time outside in nature with her husband and 2 children. Dr. Hazelton has a passion for helping patients and encourages a lifestyle of wellness through movement, nutrition and mindfulness.
Dr. Mercado
Dr. Delismarie Mercado-Alvarado received her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Pontifica Catholic University of Puerto Rico-Ponce and received her Doctorate of Chiropractic from Sherman College of Chiropractic. Dr. Mercado takes pride in connecting with her patients and assisting them in their recovery. In her spare time, Dr. Mercado enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Dr. Soto
Dr. Cresensia Soto was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. She attended UMHB, where she graduated with a Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science. She attended Parker University, where she obtained her Doctorate in Chiropractic. She moved to SA to begin her career as a chiropractor. She has gone on several mission trips to Mexico to heal and give relief to those who cannot afford treatment. Dr. Soto’s drive and passion to holistically treat patients was driven by her mother suffering from migraines and thyroid disease. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, hiking, baking and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Torres
Dr. Julissa Yenis Torres Velazquez is from Puerto Rico. She earned a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing with Administration from Interamericana University of San Germán, Puerto Rico and a Master’s degree in Nursing Acute/Critical Care with Education Role from EDP University of San Sebastián, Puerto Rico. After a few years working in the healthcare field as a registered nurse, she discovered that she wanted to become a doctor. She then moved to Boiling Springs, South Carolina to pursue her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Sherman College. Her life mission is to serve her patients, families and in turn, their community to have a better health care and lifestyle through chiropractic care. Her commitment, empathy, respect, humility and desire to help her patients through her knowledge and her hands for the natural healing process are some of the qualities that characterize her. In her free time, she loves reading, watching movies & series, taking care of her plants, spending time with family, friends and her dog, Mulan.
Dr. Lim
Dr. Lim received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Parker University. He has provided conservative care treatments including active and passive treatments, physiotherapies, and exercise treatments including manual soft tissue mobility. He provides chiropractic adjustments utilizing Diversified, Thompson, and Activator techniques to restore joint mobility of the spine. Dr. Lim works closely with medical doctors and pain management specialists to co-manage patients’ care. In his spare time, Dr. Lim likes to travel to places and take pictures in San Antonio, since this is a brand new town for him. He loves to goto the cinema to watch movies and read books and is an avid video game player, and top 100 world ranking as pro fighter pilot in Battlefield series. Dr. Lim also loves working on vehicles!
Dr. Wright
Dr. Kaylen Wright is from Corpus Christi & found a passion for helping others & living an active life early on. She attended University of Texas at San Antonio where she obtained her Bachelors in Kinesiology- Athletic Medicine & her Masters in Health & Kinesiology. She then went on to pursue her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Parker University. She loves to help patients through chiropractic care, movement, & empowering them to live a healthy lifestyle. Making sure all patients have a safe space for communication & patient education is a top priority to her. She loves hiking, exercising, reading & spending time with friends, family, & her dogs!
Dr. Cano
Dr. Dan Cano is from San Antonio and graduated from Southwest High school, growing up around the Marbach area. Being the oldest of 5, his second nature has always been to care for others and be there for people. He went to a small school in Massachusetts called Springfield College to get his degree in Sport Performance and Exercise Science. He then went on to Chicago for his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree. Dr. Cano’s favorite part of treating patients is through talking to patients, letting them understand that they are capable of moving without pain, and empowering patients to believe in themselves as they recover. Making sure every patient is comfortable and feels at home during the healing process, and asking questions has always been his main priority. He loves Powerlifting, skateboarding, reading (science non-fiction) and spending time with his wife and 2 fur babies!
Dr. Smitka
Dr. Smitka was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and moved to Texas at the age of 8. He was active as a child playing sports like baseball, basketball, and football, but has picked up golfing in his adult life. He was inspired to join the medical community from a young age watching his mother experience the pain from disc herniations in her neck, requiring surgery. He attended Texas Lutheran University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. Following graduation, he went on to Logan University to obtain his Doctor of Chiropractic degree as well as obtain board certification in acupuncture. Dr. Smitka encourages active care with his patients by providing them with resources to get out of pain and manage their own conditions outside of the clinic. He treats patients with multiple chiropractic techniques, rehabilitation, and acupuncture. In his off time, he enjoys gaming, golfing, and spending time with his wife and baby boy.
Dr. Bowie
Dr. Gabrielle Bowie is committed to bridging the gap between neuromusculoskeletal health and the body’s natural ability to heal. Drawing on her experience as a former Division I collegiate basketball player, she integrates her knowledge of athletic performance, functional movement, and mobility into her chiropractic care. Dr. Bowie earned her Bachelors Degree in Cultural Studies, with an emphasis in Medical Anthropology, and went on to receive her Masters in Public Health, later attending Parker University for her Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
With a compassionate, patient-centered approach, Dr. Bowie has used her experience with professional, collegiate, and youth sports, as well as patient-care during her time at the Veteran’s Association Healthcare System to build a well-rounded approach to recovery regained by strength, mobility, and confidence.
Dr. Lopez
Dr. Lopez, a San Antonio native and South San High School graduate, grew up with a passion for sports, particularly soccer and basketball, and volunteered as an athletic trainer. She also worked as a Wellness Coach at the YMCA of San Antonio, helping individuals achieve healthier lifestyles. Dr. Lopez earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science from the University of Texas at San Antonio. After working with a chiropractor in San Antonio, she developed a passion for chiropractic care, where she found a way to empower others in their health journeys. She then pursued a Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Parker University. Dr. Lopez is dedicated to educating her patients, providing a safe space for communication, and improving their quality of life through conservative care. She strives to be a supportive ally throughout their healing process. In her free time, she enjoys walking her dogs, playing soccer, watching movies, attending comedy shows, and pursuing a Master’s in clinical Neuroscience.
